Applications Connecticut FFA Alumni offers multiple scholarships and grants to FFA Members as well as Alumni Members. Below, you will find a description of each scholarship and grant offiered. To the right, you can find the downloads for these applications. We wish you all the best of luck! Washington Leadership Conference: The Washington Leadership Conference Scholarship is offered to recognize a student’s development in agricultural education and leadership, as well as to promote citizenship and patriotism. Any student enrolled in agricultural education during the current year who is an active FFA member, who has not been declared a winner of this scholarship previously, may apply. Priority will be given to 10th and 11th grade students, although students in grades 9-12 may apply.
The number of scholarships and monetary amount of the scholarships varies on a yearly basis, however, each year at least two FFA members from the state will receive at least a $250 scholarship to be used for expenses to the Washington Leadership Conference. The recipients will need to provide funds for any additional costs and transportation to the program.
Grant Application: The purpose of this grant is to assist FFA members, FFA chapters, and Alumni chapters in reaching their goals. Acceptable projects include creating/expanding SAE entrepreneurship projects, chapter field trips, chapter supplies, and any other relevant FFA and/or Alumni affiliate needs. The State FFA Alumni Association may choose to fund more than one project on a yearly basis, based on the funding available and the caliber of applications. This year’s total funding availability is $1,800. Application is due October 23, 2009. Official Dress Grant Application: The purpose of this grant is to assist freshmen and sophomore FFA members who are in need of assistance to obtain proper official dress. The State FFA Alumni Association may choose to fund more than one applicant on a yearly basis, based on the funding available and the caliber of applications. This year’s total funding will be used to award four grants Application is due October 23, 2009. Scholarship Application: On a yearly basis, the State CT FFA Alumni expects to competitively award up to two (2) $500 scholarships to registered undergraduate or graduate students in good standing. This is not a scholarship for freshmen. Awards are restricted to young adults who have participated in FFA programs during their high school years and have maintained good status including paid dues.
